Stargazing & Pizzas Nights - Barton Farm

Join your guides, Liz and Gary, on our popular Pizza Nights discovering the planets, galaxies and starts through our telescopes at Barton Farm on the edge of Exmoor National Park.

- Discover Jupiter, Mars, Orion's nebula and Galaxies (yes galaxies!) through our 6 telescopes and binoculars

- Be welcomed with a drink and look through the scopes if the skies are clear

- Stretch and craft your own stone-baked pizza in our beautiful 16th Century barn. Pizzas come out one by one.

- IF CLOUDY & RAINY: We go ahead! Sit back to enjoy our Indoor Astronomy Show of NASA imagery, hints and tips on stargazing at home with basic eqiupment, take home a free Dark Skies Pocket Guide 

- Dessert: Enjoy toasting GIANT marshmallows and tuck into Galaxy hot chocolate

Do we have to walk far: No, we step immediately out into the concrete yard with three telescopes

What do I wear: Dress warm, with sturdy walking boots/shoes (no open toes!)

What do I bring: Head torch with red and white light (not essential), download Stellarium app/ SkyView/ SkyMap for free, telescope / binoculars (not essential)

Dietary: Gluten free/vegan upon request

Is there a toilet: yes, we have a disabled toilet with baby changing. Hand washing stations are in the immediate vicinity.

Is the area wheelchair/pram accessible: Yes, we can watch the stars immediately outside the barn in the flat concrete yard

Can I bring a dog: yes, well-behaved dogs allowed. No dogs from Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

Can I bring my own drinks: yes, this is a BYOB event
